South Church of the Nazarene

TOUCH A LIFE IN AFRICA
This year our Church is taking up the challenge to “Touch A Life
in Africa.” We will do this through a year-long response to the
AIDS crisis there.
AIDS has spread around our world in recent years, and is no
where more devastating than in Africa. Millions are impacted.
Children are left as orphans. Thousands of households are
headed by orphaned children. The need is nearly overwhelming
in some nations.
This year, the challenge is to touch 366 lives—one for each
day of 2008—in Africa. We will do this in the names of 366
persons here. Everyone is needed. Whether the gift is small, as
little as $2.20, or large, we are challenging every person
(children, youth, and adult) to be involved.
You can choose any of the following:
A broiling chicken . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $2.20

LEAD LIKE JESUS
Join us on the journey to Lead Like Jesus. Servant
leadership is for everyone. Sunday evenings, April 6-May 11,
we will meet in smaller groups at the Church, following a brief
worship time together in the sanctuary. You are encouraged
to purchase a book and study guide ($12 per book). Purchase
the study guide and companion book for $17. Contact Marcia
Soderberg at 719-5900 if you have any questions.
Are you a leader? Often, people don’t see themselves in
that role. Leadership is a process of influence — whenever you
seek to influence the thinking, behavior or development of
someone you’re taking on the role of a leader. Whether we
lead at home in a life role or at work in an organization role,
when we’re followers of Jesus, the question we must ask
ourselves is “Will we seek to serve or be served?”

A good thing to remember and a better thing to do: is to
